Update:
I am me! Currently, I've planted roots. Moved back to my home state about 8 years ago, and the free spirit has changed. dont worry it's still in there some where. but so much responsibility and just life has changed. I've been in a relationship with someone for over 3 years, He's got two kids, one is on the spectrum (HFA with ODD & ADD). I've gone from beer tastings on Fridays and trivia tuesdays to spending my weekends hanging out with kids, and using every once of my money for things for them or fighting to have them in our lives. People constantly tell me that I must really love my boyfriend to be going through all this. To be putting up with someone truly evil (his ex-wife). And while, yes I do, there's the other part that just can't sit back and watch kids get treated the way they are. I guess this blog will be shifting into more of a path/timeline/journey of everything. the hard, the good, the bad, the down right crappy. the fights, the wins. the little things. this is me now. This is who i've become.
Old:
I hit thirty and decided I hadn't traveled as much as I had wanted. The "responsible" side of me decided to wait. After getting laid off from a great marketing job I took some time to try to find work in Virginia Beach and stay where I was.
After a while of dealing with a bad market I finally decided to "grab the bull by the horns" and hit the road. Now here I am- taking this around the country (and maybe world) road trip with my dog, dobie. I will be doing two things- applying for jobs around the country. If I get a job in a location that is where I will stay.
And Secondly....
I will be taking photos from all my cameras and prints will be for sale- proceeds will go towards Autism (the Autism Society and Autism Families in Need) I'll be traveling with very little money and plan on spending many nights in my car and on friend's couches. If you have a couch that my dog and I may visit please let me know. I'm looking forward to my journey.
